Virginia Chambers, 92, died on April 2, 2009 at the Eastern Star Masonic Home in Boone. A Celebration of Life Service will be held from 2 p.m. ? 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 5 at the Eastern Star Masonic Home, 715 W. 3rd St., Boone.
Virginia was born April 1, 1917 to Hanna and Fred Bedford in Stratford. She will be missed by her daughter, Karen (Larry) Harstad of Boone; grandchildren, Toni (Dave) Owen of Boone, Tracey Herrick of Phoenix, AZ, Cory Harstad of Boone; a brother, Duane of San Diego; and three great-grandchildren; Holli, Nolan and Sierra.
Preceding her in death are her daughter, Sandy Luann; grandson, Troy Harold Herrick; and several brothers and sisters.
Memorial contributions may be given to the family to be used for a memorial in Virginia's name.
