Elizabeth Carlson Lorentzen, 90, passed away peacefully March 2, 2009, at the Tucson home of her daughter, Karin, and her son-in-law, Dave. Born in Boone, Iowa, July 23, 1918, Liz was a vivacious, courageous lady known for her fabulous sense of humor. She traveled the world and lived in Pakistan with her husband of 53 years, Frank, who died in 1990. Liz taught many people how to laugh, love and live. She is survived by children Frank (Marjie), Leonard (Barbara), John (Brenda), and Karin (Dave Buus), six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and sisters Rosie Cessna of Yucca Valley, Calif., and Vivian Thomas of Stratford, Iowa. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 14, at 2 p.m. at East Lawn Palms Chapel, 5801 E. Grant Rd., Tucson, AZ, 85712. Boone News Republican
