Lucius "Luke" K. Williams, age 44, of Boone, passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at his home in Boone.
Luke was born on December 14, 1963 in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of Lloyd Franklin and Viola Marie (Earll) Williams. Luke attended school in Boone and he lived in Boone all his life.
Luke enjoyed listening to music, hunting, fishing, planting flowers, and his gold fish pond.
He is preceded in death by his father; his two brothers, Robert and Timothy.
Luke is survived by his mother, Viola Williams of Boone; his sister, Ruby Elsberry of Boone; his sister, Marcy Pennington and husband, Kerry of Boone; his brother, Joseph Williams and wife, Linda of Ogden; his brother, Ernie Williams of Marshalltown and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 20, 2008 at the Walter ~ Schroeder Funeral Home at Fifth & Story Streets in Boone.
Chaplain Denis James will officiate. Cremation will follow the funeral service and burial will be at a later date in the Boone Memorial Gardens in Boone.
Visitation with the family present will be held on Friday, September 19, at the Walter ~ Schroeder Funeral Home at Fifth & Story Streets in Boone from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday at the funeral home from 8:00 a.m. to the time of service. Memorials may be given to the family to be used at their discretion.
