Debi Bishop Peterson, age 47, of 1234 Jasmine Place rural Ogden, died Tuesday, October 7, 2008, from injuries due to a motor vehicle accident, northwest of Boone. Funeral services are Saturday, October 11, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. at the Bethel Church, southwest of Boone, with Rev. D. Ray Hoke officiating. Following the service, her body will be cremated and burial of her cremains will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, rural Boone at a later date.
Debi was born in Des Moines, Iowa, on October 28, 1960, the daughter of Herbert and Sue (Helderman) Bishop. She graduated from Ogden High School in 1979. On June 9, 1979, Debi married Scott Peterson at Don Williams Lake. Debi was a secretary for her husband's company, Peterson Construction. Debi enjoyed watching and feeding the deer and birds. She also liked gardening, decorating her home in country décor. She loved her cat, Bob, and loved spending time with her granddaughter, Natasha.
Debi is preceded in death by her father, Herb, and grandparents, Gladys and Herb Bishop and Helen and Hubert Helderman. She is survived by her husband, Scott of Ogden; a son, Mike Peterson of Ogden; a daughter, Jessica Peterson of Ogden; a granddaughter, Natasha Peterson of Ogden; her mother, Sue Bishop of rural Boone; two brothers, Herbie Bishop and wife, Cindy of Boone and Jody Bishop of Ogden; and two sisters, Tammy Martin and husband, Ernie of San Luis Obispo, California and Shelli Wilson and husband Shane of Brooklyn, Iowa.
Friends may call at Schroeder Memorial Chapel at Sixth and Marshall on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. where the family will be present to receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Visitation on Saturday will be at the Bethel Church from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
Memorials may be given to the family to be used at their discretion.
