Deceased was born in Peoria and succumbed at at of 89-was mother of 10.
Funeral Services for the late Mrs mary Bundy were held Monday, May 6th at 1:45 o'clock from the schroeder funeral home and at 2 O'clock at the Central Church of Christ, a Large group assembling to pay a final tribute to the late "Grandma" Bundy, as she was known to her many friends. The Rev, G. Harvey Sutton was in charge of the services and gave a funerl sermom based on the scriptures.
"Sometime we'll understand". "Going down the Valley", and "Theres a land that is fairer than day" were sung by the soloists Mrs J.J. Shelley and Miss Mae Price, accompanied by Mrs Sutton at the Organ.
Interment was made in the Quincy cemetery. Those serving as pallbearers were Thad Williams, Leslie Buzzell, Arch Williams, Cliff Phipps, Walton Stumbo and Sidney Stumbo.
The many beautiful flowers were cared for by Mabel Buzzell, Lulu Williams, Margaret Phipps, Mary Oviatt and Gladys Wright.
Mrs Mary Ellen Wilcox Bundy, daughter of Henry and Elizabeth Wilcox was born in Peoria Ill feb 1, 1851 and passed away at her home at age of 89 years 3 months and 2 days. She was united in marriage to Thomas Bundy Jan 1, 1867.
she leaves to mourn her passing Mrs Irene Stumbo, Pilot Mound Iowa, Mrs Carrie Wright, Jefferson Iowa, Mrs Loutisha Fosher, Ortonville Minn, Mrs Margaret Hayes, Mrs Gertie Hayes and John Bundy all of Boone Iowa. 55 Grandchildren, 118 great grandchildren, 31 great great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. her husband Thomas and three daughters, Flossie Wisecup, Jane Vancleave and Addie Miller and one son Harve Preceded her in death.
She was born on a farm in Illinois came to Iowa in the spring of 1868 and settled on a farm in Boone county. She united with the Quincy Church in Young Womanhood and lived a faithful Christian life.
