Funeral Services for
Lou Savits Held at
Ogden Sat., Nov. 8

Funeral rites for Mr. Lou Savits, who died last Thursday at the Greene County hospital, Jefferson, were held Saturday morning Nov. 8, at St. John's Catholic church in Ogden, with the Rev. Father O.W. Koester officiating. Interment was at Mt. Olivet cemetery, Ogden.

Pallbearers were Raymond Ragan, Dennis Ragan, Phillip Lawler, Paul Swanson, O.E. Doran and H.A. Boehm.

Lou Savits, son of George and Elizabeth Savits, was born in Boone county, Iowa, December 5, 1872, and departed this life about noon, November 6, 1952, at the age of 79 years, 11 months and 1 day.

He was united in marriage to Sarah Vaughan on December 8, 1896, and to this union were born three children, all of whom survive their father. They are Leo of Perry, Mrs. Gene Hager of Rippey, and Paul of Ogden.

Lou, as he was familiarly known, has always lived in this community, with the exception of one year in Colorado. His years of hard work were well rewarded. He led a good, clean, honest life and God gave him the blessing of a happy death, with all the final rites of his religion.

Preceding him in death were his wife, Sade, his parents, one brother and three sisters.
Besides his three children, he leaves to mourn his passing six grandchildren, other relatives and a host of friends.
