Ruth E. Miller, 84, formerly of 1611 - 6th Street, Boone, Iowa passed away at the Ogden Manor in Ogden, Iowa on Thursday evening, October 20, 2005. She had been a resident of the Ogden Manor in Ogden, Iowa since 2001.

She was born on April 23, 1921 in Boone, Iowa the daughter of Ira and Sadie (McGaw) York.

On March 21, 1947 she married Clyde "Dale" Miller at Nampa, Idaho. Ruth was a graduate of Napier High School. She was a homemaker. In 1967 she moved back to Boone and worked at the Cab office as a dispatcher. She liked to sew, crochet, and cook.

Her parents, 1 grandson, Joey Dale Thompson in June of 1983, 3 brothers, Stephen Roy York, Roland York, Donald York, and 1 sister, Iris Sudderberg preceded her in death.

Survivors include 1 daughter, Cheryl Miller of Aurora, Colorado, 1 grandson, Chuck Thompson and his wife Rhonda of Lewiston, Idaho, 1 granddaughter, Charlene Madden and her husband Jim of Grangeville, Idaho, 1great-grandson, Jaxon Schwandt of Lewiston, Idaho, 1 sister, Jean Eiserman of Boone, Iowa, and 1 brother, George York and his wife Darlene of Sacramento, California, nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Monday afternoon, October 24th at 1:30 P.M. at the Stark-Welin Chapel in Boone with Rev. Phil Webb officiating. Interment will be in Gilbert Cemetery in Gilbert, Iowa.

Friends may call at the Stark-Welin Chapel in Boone on Monday from 9:00 A.M. until time of service.

Memorials may be given to Hospice of Central Iowa.

Stark-Welin Funeral Directors in Boone, Iowa is in charge of arrangements.
