Wanda Anderson, 79, of 221 Harrison St., died Monday, May 30, 2005, at the Boone County Hospital of congestive heart failure.

Graveside services and burial will be Friday, June 3, 2005, at 2:30 p.m. at the Squire Boone Cemetery with Rev. Gary Freel officiating.

She was born in Boone on Feb. 22, 1926, the daughter of George and Barbara (Beasley) Day.

She married Milton Jones. The couple later divorced. She later married Rex Anderson. She was a nurse's aide at the former Ledges Manor and Nursing Services of Iowa. She lived in Boone from 1975 to 1997 when she moved to Lake Milton, Ohio. While living in Lake Milton, she was a member of the Bailey Road Baptist Church in North Jackson, Ohio. In 2003, she returned to Boone and attended the Berean Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands, a daughter Cathy Jones, two brothers George and Raymond Day, and a sister Delores Day.

Survivors include two sons Milton Jones of Boone and Edward Jones and wife Michele of Warren, Ohio; two daughters Carol Lee Jones of Boone and Barbara Collier and husband John Sr. of Lake Milton, Ohio; 3 brothers Bill Day of Boone, Bob Day of Ogden, and Richard "Dick" Day of Cedar Rapids; two sisters Shirley Day of Boone and Marcella Lewis of Florida; five grandchildren John Collier, Jr., Malynda Rodgers, Heather and Heidi Jones, and Tim Ray; 13 great grandchildren.

Friends may call Friday at Schroeder Memorial Chapel at Sixth & Marshall from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. where the family will be present.
