W.B. ARRINGDALE FUNERAL SERVICES

Funeral services for Wallace Arringdale was held in the First Baptist Church of Boone, Monday, July 10, at 1:30 p.m. Arthur M. Clarke, D.D., was in charge of the services. Mrs. Willis Clark and Miss Dorothy Clarke, accompanied by Mrs. George Rice, sang "Under His Wings" and "O Love That Wilt Not Let Me Go."

The flower committee was composed of Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Douglas, Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Conard, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Mills.

Pallbearers were grandsons of Mr. Arringdale: Leroy Arringdale, Allan Arringdale, John Arringdale Jr., Allan Chadwell, James Chadwell and Frederick Chadwell.

Burial was in Linwood cemetery.

LIFE SKETCH

Wallace Burton Arringdale, son of Nancy Jane and John Bassett Arringdale, was born April 22, 1862, at Zanesville, Ohio, and died July 7, 1950 at the age of 88 years, 2 months and 15 days. He has lived in Boone County since 1913, after residing in Omaha, Nebraska for 16 years. Before that time the family had resided in Missouri and Kansas.

He was united in marriage to Mary Janora Brown, and nine children were born to this union. Mrs. Arringdale passed away in September, 1937.

Surviving are his two sons, John B. of Boone and James W. of Laramie, Wyoming; and seven daughters, Mrs. Nancy Chadwell, Mrs. Margaret Ivis, and Mrs. Alice Hathaway of Omaha; Mrs. Mildred Bentley of Portland, Oregon; Mrs. Mary Curtis of Roseburg, Oregon; Mrs. Dorothea Patterson of Chicago, and Miss Bernice Arringdale of Boone; a sister, Mrs. Dorothea Bartlett of Kansas City, Missouri; 30 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
