Marjorie Bergstrom, 87, Ogden, died Friday at Ogden Manor. She was born July 23, 1913, in Ogden, the daughter of Bert and Blanche (Tennant) Kinkner. She married Kenneth Bergstrom Nov. 28, 1935, in Ogden.

She graduated from Ogden High School in 1931 and attended a business college in Pasadena, Calif. She then returned to Ogden where she was employed as the secretary to superintendent of schools Glenn Niefert. She and her husband farmed in Marcy Township and later in Winterset and Audubon before returning to Ogden in the late 1950s. She then worked for the Ogden Public Library for 14 years, and taught piano lessons for many years. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and belonged to many church organizations. She also belonged to the garden club and she and her husband were charter members of the McGraw Senior Citizens Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1992; one son, Keith Richard Bergstrom in 1994; and one brother, William Kinkner. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Sharon Kay and Verne Linde of Coloma, Wis.; two grandchildren, Robin and Michael; three great-grandchildren, Sean, Sara and Arile; two sisters-in-law, Betty Kinkner of Fort Dodge, and Nyla Anderson and her husband, Ray, of Ogden; one daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Wycoff of Ogden; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services were held Monday at Immanuel Lutheran Church with the Rev. Marty Jacobson officiating. Burial was in Swede Valley Cemetery in Ogden.

Carson Funeral Home of Ogden was in charge of arrangements.
