Louise C. Crouse, 94, died Thursday at the Eastern Star Masonic Home, Boone, of heart failure. She had been a resident of the home since December of 1989. She was born Aug. 4, 1906, in Boone, the daughter of Fred and Maggie (Hagge) Grabau. She married Walter L. Crouse June 28, 1928, in Boone.

She lived all of her life in Boone County. She attended country school in the county and was a homemaker. She was a member of Augustana Lutheran Church in Boone. Her hobbies included sewing, quilting, and cooking.

She was preceded in death byher husband; one son, Fred; two brothers; two sisters; and her parents. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Darrell and Rosie Crouse; one daughter and son-in-law, Marlene and Geno Bertini of Madrid; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Clara Paulson of Boone; and one daughter-in-law, Donna Crouse of Granger.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Augustana Lutheran Church with the Rev. Doug Duin officiating. Burial will be in Bass Point Cemetery north of Boone.

Friends may call at Schroeder-Walter Funeral Home, 503 Story St., Boone, Sunday from noon to 9 p.m. The family will be present to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Visitation continues Monday at the church from 8:30 a.m. until time of service.
