Lucille M. Larson, 93, Boxholm, died Monday at the Stratford Care Center where she had resided for the past year and a half. She was born Oct. 14,1907, in rural Stratford, the daughter of Ernest and Grace Monson. She married Wilmer R. Larson Jan. 1, 1937, in Fort Dodge.

She graduated from Stratford High School and attended Simpson College where she majored in music, specializing in piano, cello and voice. She taught school for several years and Spring Hill, Stratford and Pilot Mound. She and her husband made their home in the Boxholm-Pilot Mound area where they farmed until retirement. They retired to Boxholm in 1976. She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where she served as a choir director for several years. She also participated in several community organizations.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in October of 1988; one sister, Clarice Carlson; and one brother, Merril Monson. Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Deloris Larson of Stratford and Marjorie and George Klee of Rochester, MN; one son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Kim Larson of Pilot Mound; and eight grandchildren, David Klee of Rochester, MN, Eric Klee of Minneapolis, MN, Susan Klee of Duluth, MN, and Mary Larson, Amy Larson, Mandy Larson and Scott Larson, all of Pilot Mound.

Funeral services were held Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Boxholm. Burial was in Lawn Cemetery in Boxholm.

Carson Funeral Home of Dayton was in charge of arrangements
