MCDERMOTT, MONROY, BELL, FURST

A funeral Mass was said today in St. John's Church, Wellesley Hills, for Mary Louise (McDermott) McDermott, 63, of Wellesley, a World War II Navy nurse who later worked in St. Joseph's Hospital in Sioux City, Iowa. She died of cancer Friday in her home after a long illness.

She was born and raised in Boone, Iowa, and married Francis G. McDermott during the war. They moved to Wellesley four years ago where she was a member of the Postcomers Club.

Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, Maj. Francis D., USAF, of Vandenberg Air Force Base, Calif., and Mark G. McDermott of Wellesley; three daughters, Kathleen L. McDermott of Wellesley, Sister Theresa Marie McDermott of the Daughters of Charity of Price, Utah, and Lt. Maureen E. Monroy, USN, of Santa Anna, Calif.; three brothers, Cleo McDermott of California, James of Nevada and Howard McDermott of Iowa; two sisters, Mabel Bell of California and Frances Furst of California, and three grandchildren.

Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Wellesley.
