Mrs. N. A. Miller Died at Boone March 12th

Followed Her Daughter in Death By One Day

Another of Boone county's pioneer women was laid to rest last Wednesday where neighbors, friends and relatives of Mrs. Nancy Adeline Miller paid their last tribute at the services conducted at the Mongona church. Mrs. Miller, the widow of the late Nathaniel Miller, was laid to rest the day after her daughter Mrs. Everett Sylvester was laid away.

Mrs. Nora Peterson and Miss Grace Sellers, accompanied by Miss Dorothy Robertson, sang "The Old Rugged Cross, " "We'll Say Goodnight Here But Goodmorning Up There," and "Going Down the Valley."

In charge of the floral tributes were Mrs. Edgar Nystrom, Miss Iva Bell Bowman, Mrs. Glenn Hull and Mrs. Elsie Browning.

Pallbearers were Allen McLeod, Leslie Buzzell, Sam Brooks, Frank Bollenbaugh, Grand Baird and John Lindahl. Interment was in the Sparks cemetery.

Obituary

Nancy Adeline, daughter of Thom and Mary Bundy, was born August 3, 1808 on a farm near Moingona, Iowa, and departed this life March 12, 1939 at the age 70 years 7 months and 9 days.

She received her education at the Quincy school and attended the Baptist church of that vicinity. She was united in marriage January 14, 1885 to Nathaniel Miller of Boone county.

To this union were born fourteen children--four of whom preceded their mother in death: Walter Wesley, Clarence Nathaniel, Mrs. Everett Sylvester, and one daughter at infancy. Also her husband preceded her in death February 15, 1934.

She leaves to mourn her passing: her mother, Mrs. Mary Bundy, and the following children: Riley, Art, Charles, Ernest, Harvey and Raymond, all of Boone, and Roy of Jefferson, Mrs. Ditha Rose, Mrs. Harry Staley also of Boone, and Mrs. Harold Crispin of Napier.

She also leaves one brother, John Bundy, and five sisters, Mrs. Rene Stumbo, Mrs. Gertie Hayes, Mrs. Tish Farsher of Clinton, Minnesota, and Mrs. Carrie Wyatt of Jefferson, a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Miller was a kind and loving mother and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
