Is Killed by Lightning.
Perry, Ia. April 22. Special; Mrs. Harve Bundy, wife of a well known farmer living northeast of this city, was fatally injured when she was struck by a bolt of lightning last night. She lived for about an hour, but the efforts of physicians summoned were unavailing. Mrs. Bundy was assisting her husband with the evening chores at the barn and was standing on the east side of the structure when the lightning struck the west side.
The bolt killed two horses and followed a metal hay track through the barn, coming out on the other side where Mrs. Bunny{sic} was standing. Her husband carried her into the house and summoned physicians but she never regained consciousness.Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was Lillie who was born Nov. 15, 1884 and died Apr. 26. 1917. She is buried in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Boone, IA.
