February 12, 1936 - December 22, 2021

Bobby D. White, age 85, of Boone, died on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames.

Bob (A.K.A. Uncle Bob) was born February 12, 1936 in Story County to Everett and Edna (Raines) White.

Bob was united in marriage with Martha Marie (Sorenson) Price on July 29, 1963, in Prescott, MN. Bob was a former conservation officer for the state parks for 8 years and a former shipping supervisor for 25 years at Heinrich Envelope Co. Bob was also a former member of the Loyal Order of the Moose #520 and Printers Union #689.

Bob enjoyed camping and going dancing with his wife in earlier years. He enjoyed handy man work, reading, going on walks, mowing the grass, and fishing. In recent years, Bob could be found riding his motorized bicycles around Boone. Bob also loved his dogs he had over the years dearly.

In May of 2019, Bob moved in with his nephew John Sorenson (Erin) and their two youngest boys, Bryce and Brogan, at "The Sorenson Compound". Bob's niece, Debi Barr, resides net door as well. Bob's niece, Connie, wife of Rusty White, was always taking Bob shopping and would drive him where he needed to go. Family was important to Bob, and he had many friends at the D & J's Complete Tree Service shop.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marie in 2008; brothers, Wayne, Raymond, Dale, Larry and Verl White.

Bob is survived by a stepson, Jim (Sharon) Price of Ames; 3 grandchildren; sister, Mary Ingersoll; along with his nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, January 3, 2021, at the Schroeder-Reimers Memorial chapel at Sixth and Marshall Streets in Boone. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, east of Gilbert.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Pleasant Grove Community Church and Cemetery.
