Enid Sturtz, 92, formerly of Boone, Iowa passed away at the Concordia Care Center in Bella Vista, Arkansas on Saturday, February 4, 2012, where she had resided since February of 2002.

She was born on December 29, 1919, in Belle Plaine, Iowa, the daughter of Lee T. and Grace I. (Miller) Breedlove.

She married Russell Bruce Clark in l940 and they had two children. On February 16, 1958, she married George N. Sturtz at the First United Methodist Church in Boone, Iowa.

Enid retired in 1984, after serving for 24 years as Clerk of the District Court of Boone County, Iowa.

She was a member of the Augustana Lutheran Church, Order of Eastern Star Magi Chapter #179, Daughters of the American Revolution and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Her parents, Lee and Grace Breedlove; spouse, George N. Sturtz in January 2002; sisters, Eila Lee Coffeen and Joyce Pestotnik; and a niece, Linda Houck, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her daughter, Joyce Lynn Prueitt and husband, Keith of Bella Vista, Arkansas; son, David Bruce Clark and wife, Sheila of Johnston, Iowa; five grandchildren, Chris Clark and wife, Shelly of Ogden, Iowa, Melissa Nash and husband, Jason of Urbandale, Iowa, Corey Faller and wife, Cynthia of Des Moines, Iowa, Amy Sanford and husband, Dan of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Jeff Lamb and wife, Daphne of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; nine great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Friday afternoon, February 17 at 1:30 p.m. at the Augustana Lutheran Church in Boone with Pastor Dick Dahle officiating.

Interment will be in the Linwood Park Cemetery in Boone prior to the service.

A reception will be held to greet the family in the Augustana Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall immediately following the memorial service.
