Sister Rose Andre' Koehler, BVM, 92, of 1050 Carmel Drive, Dubuque, IA, passed away May 8, 2018, at Marian Hall.

Visitation will be from 9 A/M to 10:15 A/M, on Monday, May 14, 2018, in the Marian Hall Chapel, followed immediately by a Sharing of Memories and Mass of Christian Burial. Burial is in the Mount Carmel Cemetery.

Sister Rose Andre' was principal at St. Anthony ES in Dubuque. She taught elementary school and/or was principal in Des Moines and Davenport, IA; Chicago, IL; Butte, MT; Lincoln, NE; and Stockton, CA. She was a teacher aide/tutor in Montgomery, AL.

She was born in Boone, IA, on October 13, 1925, to Andrew and Christina Gossman Koehler. She entered the BVM congregation September 8, 1943, from Sacred Heart Parish, Boone. She professed first vows on March 19, 1946, and final vows on August 15, 1951.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Firmin Arthur; and sisters, Genevieve Kiddie, Roberta Finch, Mary Anderson, and Rosellen Koehler, BVM (Jean Christine). She is survived by nieces and nephews, and the Sisters of Charity, BVM, with whom she shared life for (74) years.

Memorials may be given to Sisters of Charity, BVM Support Fund, 1100 Carmel Drive, Dubuque, IA 52003 or online. Make a donation in Sister's honor.

Miller Funeral Home, 1185 Hwy 35 N, East Dubuque, IL, is in charge of arrangements.
