Beverly JoAnne Leininger, age 80, of Boone, passed away at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames, Saturday, July 20, 2013.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 24, at Walter ~Schroeder Funeral Home, Fifth and Story Streets in Boone from 4 to 8 p.m. with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, July 25, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 281 Spruce Lane, Northeast of Boone. Interment will be in the St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery.

Beverly was born on June 18, 1933 to Blanche Addie Dutton McVicker and William McVicker in Boone. She graduated from Boone High School 1951 and married Louis Eugene Leininger on June 24, 1951.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis in 2002 along with three sisters and three brothers.

Survivors include her daughter, Cheryl Lenta and husband James of Boone and her son, Kevin Leininger and wife Karen Brady of Wrightstown, PA. Grandchildren: Alex Leininger; Michael Leininger and Kathryn Leininger. Brother: James McVicker of Boone.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the St. Paul's Lutheran Church or the American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Boone County.
