DEATH OF MRS> OTTO SCHROEDER

Well known Boone woman succumed this morning at The Boone County Hospital

Mrs. Otto Schroeder, well known Boone woman residing at 1503 Benton Street, succumbed this morning at the Boone County Hospital at 8:00 o’clock. She was taken to the hospital Saturday after being returned from Rochester where she was taken December 22.

Her health had been failing for sometime and rapidly became critical in the last ten days. She was taken to the clinc in Rochester for examination, having been accompanied by her husband and a son, Atty Edward (Pete) Schroeder, and a daughter Mrs. Albert Ford. It was learned there that nothing else could be done for her.

Sixty five years of age, Mrs. Schroeder had resided in Boone nearly all of her life. Word of her death will grieve a host of friends and acquaintances. In addition to Edward and Mrs. Ford, she is survived by another son, Clarence Schroeder, of Chicago. Edward, or Pete, as his friends know him, is president of the Junior Chamber of Commerce here.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:15 PM at the home and at 2:30 at the Trinity Lutheran Church. In charge is Rev. Otto Erbe. Interment will be in Linwood Park Cemetery East. The remains will be taken to the home Wednesday afternoon.

Junior Chamber of Commerce members will attend the last rites in a body and are asked to meet at the church at 2:20 PM.
