Timothy Hawley was born in 1828 in County Clare, Ireland, and died at his home in Ogden, Iowa, April 30, 1902. When a young man of almost 20 years of age he left his native country and came to America, and made his home in Wisconsin, in Winnebago County, where in 1865, he married Miss Mary Hannigan, at Nenah. To this union six children were born, five of them yet living. In 1883 he came to Boone county and settled on a fine farm in Amaqua township, where he continued to reside until the children had grown up and left their old home for new ones, and with old age and increasing infirmities, he moved to Ogden a few years ago. For the past year, he has gradually failed and gradual dropsical complications and old age hastened the end. The funeral exercises were held from the Catholic church in Ogden May 1 and interment will be at the Catholic cemetery in Boone. The children had all been telegraphed of his death, but when these lines were written all had not arrived. Ogden Reporter.
