Maxine E. Hunter, 89, Ogden, died Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008 at Boone County Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2008 at 10 a.m. at Community United Methodist Church in Ogden. Rev. Paul Evans, Rev. Bob Davis - Chaplain of Hospice of Central Iowa, and Steve Satre will officiate. Burial will be at Glenwood Cemetery in Ogden. Visitation is Tuesday, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Carson - Stapp Funeral Home in Ogden.
Maxine Evelyn Lamprecht was born Dec. 8, 1918, in Eldora, the daughter of Rev. Dewey and Corrine (Reed) Lamprecht. She attended schools in the area of her birth, graduating with the Eldora High School class of 1936. Maxine was united in marriage to Keith Hunter Nov. 28, 1947 at the Baptist Church in Eldora. The couple lived and farmed south of Ogden until moving into town in 1973. They retired from farming in 1985.
Maxine was a member of Community United Methodist Church in Ogden where she was active in the UMW. She was an accomplished quilter, making many quilts for family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, Keith Hunter of Ogden; daughter, Joni Hunter of West Des Moines; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Steven Hunter; and her brother, Robert Lamprecht.
Memorials may be left to either the Community United Methodist Church or to Hospice of Central Iowa. Boone News Republican
