James Henri Foshee, age 49 of Urbandale, Iowa, formerly of Boone, passed away Friday, November 14, 2008 at his home in Urbandale.
James was born March 31, 1959 at Houston, Texas. He is the son of George M. & Donna L. (Wade) Foshee Jr. He attended school at Boone, and graduated from Boone High School in 1977.
James worked as a computer programmer for 10 years at Principal Financial in Des Moines, and then as a computer analyst for Guide One Company for 3 years. He lived in Houston, Texas until moving in 1972 to Newark, Delaware where he lived for 1 year then moved to Boone. Later he moved to the Des Moines area and has lived there for the past 24 years. James was a member of the Orchid Club, the Iowa Cactus and Succulent Club. He enjoyed computing and gardening to raise flowers, orchids and cactus. He also enjoyed photography, and having 4 snakes and other pets. He took many pictures of the flowers and snakes he had. James played clarinet and was a member of the Boone Municipal Band.
James is preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents. He is survived by his mother, Donna Foshee of Boone; his father, George Foshee and stepmother, Ann of Pasadena, Texas; his brother, Randall Foshee of Nashville, Tennessee; his 3 sisters, Theresa Wilson of Edinburgh, Indiana; Suzanne Foshee of Texas City, Texas; Jeanette Foshee of Boone, also, 2 nephews, Reuben Wilson and his wife, Luciana of Indianapolis, Indiana; Joshua Wilson and his wife, Kyla of Columbus, Indiana.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at the
Walter ~ Schroeder Funeral Home at 5th & Story Streets in Boone. Elder Calvin DeVries will officiate. Burial in the Linwood Park Cemetery of Boone. Memorials may be given to the family to be used at their discretion.
