Jacob was born 12-1-1866 Skaare, Rogaland, Norway; parents: Einar Olsen (1829-1907) and Dorthe Jacobsdtr (1842-82); immigrated 1891-92; married Olava Stange approx. 1900-1903 Boone County. Jacob was the nephew of Rasmus Storesund of Ogden in Boone County. Rasmus was the brother of Jacob's mother.
