JAMES MUDGE, 76, DIES ON MONDAY
James Mudge 76, 408 Webster street, died in the hospital Monday evening, July 13, after a few hours of hospitalization. He had lived in Boone most of his life and was a retired coal minor and a B & B department employee of the Chicago North Western Railroad. Survivors include his wife Freda, a daughter Mrs. Arnold (Edith) Hefty and a son Emory, both of Boone; two sisters, Mrs. J.D. Tennant, Mason City and Mrs. Otto May of Boone and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 16 at 1:30 p.m. from the Welin Memorial Chapel with the Rev. R.G. Foster in charge. Burial will be in the Moingona Cemetery. Friends may call at the Welin Memorial Chapel after noon Wednesday.
