Jill Olivas, 57, of 713 6th Street in Boone, passed away at the Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames, Iowa on Tuesday evening, December 16, 2008.
She was born on February 10, 1951 in Ann Arbor, Michigan the daughter of Joseph and Virginia (Fuller) Mitchell.
Jill was a homemaker. She was raised in Michigan, later moving to Colorado where she lived for a number of years before moving to Boone, where she has resided for the past 12 years. Jill enjoyed quilting and loved to be with her family and grandchildren.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Boone.
Her father preceded her in death.
Survivors include her mother Virginia Mitchell of Louisville, Colorado; a daughter Carolyn Wallace and her husband Jeremy of Boone; 4 grandchildren Scarlett, Caleb, Delilah and Isaac Wallace all of Boone; 1 sister Ann Mitchell of Longmont, Colorado; and 2 brothers Tom Mitchell of Florida and Joe Mitchell of California.
Her body has been cremated.
A memorial service will be held on Monday afternoon, December 22nd at 1:30 p.m. at the Stark-Welin Chapel in Boone with Rev. Dr. Richard Harken officiating.
Interment of the cremains will be at a later date.
Friends may call at the Stark-Welin Chapel in Boone on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
