Kristin Jean Kruse, age 42 of Boone, went to be with her Lord on Friday, December 19, 2008.
Kristin was born on August 2, 1966 in Boone, Iowa, the daughter of Donald Albert and Donna Jean (Craven) Kruse. She graduated from Boone High School in 1984. While living in Boone she attended the Bernel College of Cosmetology in Ames for one year then attended DMACC in Boone where she received her LPN License. She then worked with a nursing home in Des Moines about one year. She again returned home to work as a LPN at the Eastern Star Masonic Home in Boone for several years. Then Kristin traveled extensively for a while. She then returned back to Boone in the early part of the decade and lived for a while with her mother Donna. She then lived in South Carolina for 3 years, and decided to return to Boone and to be close to her family.
Kristin was a member of the Boone Biblical Memorial Church in Boone. She enjoyed photography, scrapbooking her family photos, making picture collages, reading, watching movies, making up cookbooks for her family, playing on the computer and she also enjoyed her cat Boo Boo. She really enjoyed babysitting her brother's dogs, going sightseeing on road trips and going out to eat with her friends.
Kristin is preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her sister, Kim Kruse of Boone; her brother, Kurt Kruse (Debra) of Madrid; her two nieces, two nephews, one great nephew and her cat Boo Boo and also her special friends.
Her body has been cremated. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, December 23, at the Boone Biblical Memorial Church in Boone. Pastor Bruce S. Thomas will officiate.
Disposition of the cremated remains will be at a later date.
Visitation with family present will be held on Monday, December 22, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Walter-Schroeder Funeral Home at Fifth & Story Streets in Boone. Visitation continues Tuesday morning at the church from 9:00 a.m. to time of service.
Memorials will be given to the Erickson Public Library of Boone or the American Diabetes Association in Memory of Kristin Jean Kruse.
