Patricia Knudsen, 76, formerly of Boone and Ft. Dodge, Iowa and currently of Long Beach, California, passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2008 at Broadway by the Sea in Long Beach, California where she had resided since April of 2006.
She was born on July 10, 1932 in Boone, Iowa the daughter of Chester Leroy and Nina Evelyn (Schilling) Knudsen.
Patricia graduated from St. Paul Bible College, now Crown College, McPhail's Music College, West Mar College and obtained her Master's Degree in Education from Drake University. She was an elementary school teacher in the Ft. Dodge school system until her retirement. In 1990, she moved to Los Angeles, California to be with her mother and brother, where she continued to teach at private schools. Patricia loved music, both singing and playing the cello.
Her parents preceded her in death.
She is survived by 3 brothers; Larry Knudsen of West Hills, California, David Knudsen of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas and Phillip Knudsen of Long Beach, California.
Her body has been cremated.
A memorial service will be held at a later date with interment of her cremains in Linwood Park Cemetery in Boone, Iowa at that time.
