Catherine L. Bochmann, 81, of rural Aredale Iowa, passed away December 30, 2008 at the Hampton Health Care Center in Hampton, Iowa. She was born on May 8, 1927, in Boone, Iowa, to Edwin and Floss (Gibson) Inglesby. Catherine attended Jordan High School and later Iowa State University. She was married on March 23, 1945, to Victor Bochmann in rural Boone, Iowa. Catherine worked as a homemaker. She was a member of the New Hope Parish of the United Methodist Church in Aredale and was a member of the United Methodist Women. Catherine enjoyed sewing, reading, gardening, photography, teaching Sunday school and Bible school, attending concerts and working with the Heifer Project. Catherine is survived by her son Bruce and wife Deb Bochmann of rural Greene, and son Kendall Bochmann of rural Aredale, grandsons Daniel and wife Erin Bochmann of Rochester, Minnesota, Ryan Bochmann of rural Dougherty, Justin Bochmann of Greene, Neil Bochmann of Aredale, Jared Bochmann of Aredale, great grandsons Thatcher and Joseph Bochmann of Rochester, Minnesota and sister Shirley Hogsett of Kirkland, Washington. Catherine is preceded in death by her husband Victor, youngest son Phillip and her parents Edwin and Floss Inglesby.
Funeral services will be Friday at 10:30 A.M. at the New Hope Parish of the United Methodist Church in Aredale, Iowa. Visitation will be Thursday from 3 to 6 P.M. at the Sietsema Vogel Funeral Home in Dumont, Iowa. Pastor Larry Pauley will be officiating. Burial will be in the Dumont Cemetery in Dumont, Iowa.
