Christi Lea Anderson, age 36, of the Ogden Manor, died Sunday, January 6, 2008, at the Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames, due to complications from epilepsy. Funeral services will be Thursday, January 10, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, at Seventh and Linn Streets with Elder Gary Magoon officiating. Burial will follow at the Bass Point Cemetery, north of Boone. There will be a time of fellowship at the Moose Lodge, 812-8th Street at 12:30 p.m. following the burial.
Christi was born in Perry on January 6, 1972, the daughter of Gary and Connie (Savage) Anderson. She graduated from Boone High School in 1991. Christi lived most of her life in the Boone area. For the last few years, she resided at the Ogden Manor because of her illness. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Christi enjoyed puzzles, church study, fishing and camping. She had a gentle spirit and deep faith. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Connie and Ron Fowler of Boone; a sister, Robin Morgan and husband Nathan of Boone; a brother, Marty Young and wife, Wendy of Boone; grandmother, Helen Haynes of Boone; two step brothers, Mike Fowler of Manchester and Steve Fowler of Boone; step sister, Amanda Allen and husband, Shane of Georgia; nephews, Tristan Morgan and Wyatt Young; nieces, Madalynn Morgan and Maiah Young; step nephews, Vincent, Corey, and Robbie Fowler; step nieces, Emily Allen and Zoey Fowler; an aunt, two uncles, and other relatives.
Visitation will be Wednesday at Schroeder Memorial Chapel at Sixth and Marshall from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at which time the family will be present to receive friends. Visitation continues Thursday at the Church from 9:30 a.m. until the 10:30 a.m. service. Memorials may be given to the family to be used at their discretion.
