Funeral Services for Alf Johnson Held Aug. 29.

Last rites for Alfred Johnson were held Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 29, at 1:45 from the Clark-Treloar chapel and at 2 pm from the Mission Covenant Church. The Rev. C.H.B. Peterson officiated.

Mrs. Margaret Wright sang "In the Garden" at the chapel, and "Beyond the Sunset," at the church, accompanied by Hugo Boehm who also accompanied the men's quartet, Jack Cook, Leonard Nelson, Jack Stumbo and William Lindholm, who sang "Abide With Me," at the church. Miss Emma Anderson, church pianist, played the instrumental music.

Miss Anna Dahlberg, Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Forsberg and John Thoren had charge of the flowers. Pallbearers were Arnold Boehm, D.O. Clark, Jerry Keel, Einer Peterson, Ed Lindholm and Ed Leichliter. Burial was in Glenwood cemetery.

Alfred L. Johnson, retired business man was born in Ogden on August 9, 1877 and died at the Boone County hospital Saturday afternoon, August 26, 1950, at the age of 73 years and 17 days. His death was attributed to a stroke suffered Friday afternoon, from which he did not regain consciousness.

Mr. Johnson spent his entire life in Ogden engaged in various business enterprises. On May 25, 1905* he was married to Miss Selma Josephina Hageleen, who died on March 23, 1942. Two sons also preceded him in death, Gilbert who died in infancy, and Vesper, who died in 1934.

Survivors are his two daughters, Mrs. James (Ione) Langan and Mrs. Bert (Esther) Bakley, a brother, Gust Johnson, and a sister, Mrs. Erick Hageleen, all of Ogden, also nine grandchildren and seven nieces and nephews.

*Note: The date of marriage I have for him is 5-25-1899, not 1905.
