Martha Ellen Oviatt, daughter of Andrew and Eunice Oviatt was born Mar 12, 1871, in Boone County Iowa. She passed away Apr 5, 1958 at the Hartwig Nursing home in Perry at the age of 87 years and 24 days.
She grew to womanhood and lived her entire life in this community.
Martha was preceded in death by two sisters, Henrietta and Eva and one brother Horace. She is survived by two brothers, Arch and Hugh, several nieces and nephews and many friends.
Last rites for Martha Oviatt were held Tuesday afternoon, Apr 8 in Hookers Funeral Home. The Rev Paul Redmond, Officated at the service, Mrs Anna Cooper and Mrs Ina Beck Sang. They were accompanied by Mrs Mabel Sturgeofi.
Casket bearers were Ralph Miller, Chester Zastro, Lester Grow, Herman Propp Jr. M.G. Rhoads and harold Flinn.
Interment was in Sparks Cemetery.
