Wayne D. Rogers, 65, of Moorland, died Wednesday, March 10, at Tompkins Memorial Health Center. His body has been donated to the Mayo Clinic of Rochester, Minn., for orthopedic research. Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. today (March 20) at the Commons of Friendship Haven in Fort Dodge.

He was born Oct. 13, 1938, to David J. and Edna F. (Van Pelt) Rogers at Kelley. He married Sandra Roe Sept. 3, 1960, at Ogden. He had lived in the Fort Dodge area since 1964 and was self-employed as a drywall contractor. He enjoyed restoring automobiles and he was an avid puzzle player.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife; sons and daughter-in-law, Bradley Wayne Rogers and Benjamin Jon D.C. and Phyllis Rogers of Barnum; grandchildren Josh and Jessica Van Waes, and Matthew and Sean Rogers; siblings and their spouses, Morris and Barb Rogers, Riverside Calif., Mary Corson of Boone, Faye and Marv Grems of Boone, Don and Marian Rogers of Boone and Ruth and Marvin Stumpenhorst of Ogden; sisters-in-law Laurie Roe of Evergreen, Colo., Barb and Chuck Westberg of Boone; and 27 nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be directed to the Friendship Haven Care Foundation, Hospice of Fort Dodge or to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester. Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services was in charge of the arrangements.
