FINAL TRIBUTES TO MEMORY MRS. W. B. ARRINGDALE:
Rebekahs Have Ritual Following Church Service, Grandsons Bear Casket Here

Final tribute was paid to the memory of the late Mrs. W. B. Arringdale at services held Sunday afternoon. The Rev. S. C. Peterson, pastor of the Marion Street Methodist church, was in charge of a brief service at Schroeder's funeral home for the family at 2:15 o'clock and at the main service at First Methodist church at 2:30 o'clock.

The Rev. Peterson's funeral message of consolation to the bereaved relatives, friends and neighbors was based on the text in Revelations 21:1, "And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away."

REBEKAHS HAVE RITUAL

Mrs. Earl Baumgartner, soprano soloist, sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "No Night There." At the conclusion of the service in charge of the pastor, the Rebekah lodge performed its funeral ritual during which Mrs. Baumgartner sang "Wonderful Peace." She was accompanied at the organ by Mrs. George Rice.

A host of flowers sent in token of respect to the memory of the deceased and in token of sympathy to the bereaved were in charge of Mesdames Emma Shackleton, George Lamb, Ray Beale, E.E. Risher, James Morris and Amanda Nelson.

Bearing the casket were six of Mrs. Arringdale's grandsons: Charles Chadwell, Jr., John Arringdale, Jr., James Chadwell, Frederick Chadwell, James Curtis and James Bentley.

The well known Boone woman was laid to her final rest in Linwood Park cemetery, east.

About a year and a half ago she fell and broke her hip; an injury from which she never fully recovered, but she had been up and about for some time. Her death came as a result of a very short illness.

December 24, 1885, she was united in marriage to Wallace B. Arringdale at Salem, Kan. Nine children were born to this union, all of whom survive their mother. Mrs. Arringdale came to Boone when a girl, settling with her parents on a farm east of Boone in Jackson township. In 1883 she moved to Kansas and in 1897 to Omaha, Neb. She returned to Boone in 1913 and had made her home here since that time.

She was also a member of the Past Noble Grands association, the Ladies Samaritan club and the Naomi Circle. She was a member of the Women's Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and was chaplain of that organization for a number of years. She was a member of the North Side Needle club. Many years ago she united with the Lone Tree Methodist church located in the country east of Boone.

Mrs. Arringdale is survived by her husband; two sons: John of Boone and James of Perry; seven daughters: Mrs. C. H. Chadwell and Margaret A.
