Helen Davis Grant, 94, formerly of Boone, died Sunday, Sept. 14, at her home in Covington, La. The body was cremated. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. today, Nov. 15, at the Linwood Park Cemetery in Boone, with the Rev. Pastor Jessica Johnston officiating.

She was born July 2, 1909, in Boston, Mass., the daughter of George and Helen (Davis) Gilman. On April 4, 1931, she married Kenneth Grant of Woodward.

Helen was a 1931 graduate of Beloit College in Beloit, Wis., and she was a teacher and a homemaker. She was a member of the Methodist Church, Pi Beta Phi Sorority and the Mayflower Society.

Her parents, husband, an infant daughter and two brothers preceded her in death. Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Grant Prather of Covington, La., and Sue Grant Skoglund of Tavares, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be given to Hospice of Central Iowa, 811 Story St., Boone, Iowa, 50036.

Stark-Welin Funeral Directors of Boone is in charge of arrangements.
