Charles D. Jipp, 49, West Des Moines, and formerly of Boone, died Nov. 28 at his home of Lou Gehrig's disease. He was born March 25, 1951, in Des Moines, the son of Richard and Eleanor (Knox) Jipp.

He was a graduate of Boone High School and Simpson College in Indianola, and was a partner in the certified public accountant firm of Rice, Jipp & Co. He had lived in Des Moines since graduating from college. He was a member of the Dam to Dam board, the West Des Moines Park Foundation, and the Des Moines Capital Striders.

He was preceded in death by his father. Survivors include his wife, Lori, of West Des Moines; two sons, Eric and Ryan Jipp of Elkport; his mother of Boone; one sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Richard Silver of West Des Moines; and one niece and one nephew.

Funeral services were held Friday at the Lutheran Church of Hope in West Des Moines.

The body was cremated and burial of the cremains will be at a later date.
