Wilbur Eppert, age 72, of Bradenton, Fla. and formerly of Boone, died april 23, 2006, at the Sarasota Memorial Hospital in sarasota, Florida. Funeral services will be Friday, April 28, 2006 at 1 pm at the Schroeder memorial Chapel at sixth and Marshall with Don Howard officiating. Burial will be in th Boone Memorial Gardens.
Wilbur was born in Boonen on december 21, 1933, the son of D Paul and R Luceil (Rainbolt) Eppert. He graduated from Luther High School in 1952. On February 22, 1953, Wilbur married Elizabeth Youngin Ames. Wilbur worked as an appliance salesman for Sears, first in Boone and then in Des Moines. The couple later moved ot Knsas where he worked with Sears. They moved ot Council Bluffs where Wilbur worked as a Whirlpoot sales Representative for Sidles Distributing. Laslty, he was emplyed with the Nebraska Furniture Mart in Omaha for many years as an appliance sales representative. He retiredin 2000. After living in Council Bluffs for 30 years, the couple moved to Bradenton, Florida. Wilbur was a life long member of the BPR Elks in Boone and council Bluffs and he enjoyed boating, visition the beach, and converstaions with people.
He was precedein death by his parents, a brother, Robert, and a granddaughter Tambi Ann Eppert. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth fo Bradenton, 5 sons, David and wife, Susie of Lincoln, Neb., Daniel and wife, Pat, and Richard Eppert and companion, Claudine Donnelly, all of Bradenton, Fla. Randy and wife, Debra of Burnsville, Minn, and Jim and wife, Becky of Wesley Chaple, Fla., a daughter Cindy Blakeman and companion, tim Fortuna of Council Bluffs, 4 brothers, Raymond and wife, June and Dale and wife, JoAnn al of Luther, Frank, and Arthur, both of Boone, 4 sisters, Mary Johnson and husband, Chuck of Boone, Jean Houston and husband, Dan of Luther, Barb Lytle and husband, Marv of Spring, Texas and Katherine Huber of Loveland, Colo, 22 grandchildren adn 17 great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Schroeder Memorial Chapel on Friday from 11 am until service time
