Friends of the family of Fred Cox were muich saddened by the death of the wife which occurred February 11, 1920.

Fanny McGee, was born August 6, 1872, in Coal Valley, Boone County. Her childhood was spent there until her marriage on June 21, 1902 to Frank Lowry. A daughter, Mary Ann, came into her life from this union.

On August 26, 1906 she was again united in marriage to Fred Cox. To them were given five children, John, Myron, Beatrice, Frederick Ernest, Woodrw Donald and Leslie.

Her going away has caused a hurt of unmeasured depth in the home. In early life she united with the Methodist Church of Ogden and throughout her years of campanionship with her family she gave them true devotion and care. Her spirit of love were exemplified at the close of her stay. It was not until she had nursed to the limit of her strength her five children gripped in the throes of the epidemic that she fell exhausted to pneumonia and pleurisy and left the message that she was going to a better place to live.

Funeral services were held February 13 at the home which were conducted by the Rev. V. K. Stephens of Ogden and her body was laid to rest at Rosehill cemetery.

Her loved ones, including husband, children, mother and five brothers have the sypathy and love of the community in this dark hour of affliction.

Dear Mother, how we miss thee-

And thy loss we'll deeply feel;

God in sorrow, hath bereft us.

He can all our sorrows heal.
