N N Phinney, farmer, Sec 28, was born in Allegany county, New York, April 28, 1851, and when quite young accompanied his parents to Rock county, Wisconsin, in 1865 he came to Iowa and settled in this county in 1874, owns 75 acres of land, was married March 23, 1870, to Miss Josephine Prahan, of New York, they have four children: James A, Julia M, Charles A, and Oscar D
