John T Nelson, of the firm of Nelson and Wertberg, merchant tailors, Boone, was born in Sweden, October 24, 1847, and in 1869 emigrated to the United States, settling in Boone on May 29, of that year, he is connected with the only exclusive merchant tailoring establishment in Boone, having been in the business ever since coming to the place, most of which time he has been carrying on business for himself, March 1, 1880 he was elected a member of the town council of Boone, from the third ward, he was married in 1872 to Ellen Peterson, they have one child: John F O seven year of age
