Charles Hall, proprietor of the Club Livery Stables, of Boone, was born in New Hampshire December 31, 1845, and was there raised and educated, he came to Iowa in 1875 and located in Boone and became a fireman on the railroad, this he followed one year and then returned home, remaining some eighteen months, came again to Boone, remained about 2 months and then went to Kansas and was engaged firing on the railroad there, two years later he bought out the stable and stock of J C Perrigo and has been running it since, he keeps good teams at the lowest possible prices, is unmarried
