M K Beck, farmer and stock-raiser, Sec 4, P O Ogden, was born in Huntington county, Pennsylvania, January 15, 1844, and was there raised, and in 1869 came to this state settling in this county, when he settled in Amaqua township there were only three houses in sight of his place, but now the prairie is dotted in very direction with improvements, owns a farm of 80 acres and in connection with farming, is quite extensively engaged in stock-raising, May 18, 1871, he married Emily R Sayre, a native of Meigs county, Ohio, she as born September 19, 1850, have had two children, one of whom, Anna M is living, the other Alpha V died when eleven months of age
