CHAMBERLAIN, FREEMAN

C K Chamberlain, farmer, Sec 27, P O Ogden, was born in Allentown, New York, January 18, 1817, and lived there until 1830, when he moved to Warren county, Ohio, in 1836 he went to Indiana, and followed wagon-making in different parts of that state for nineteen years, after that he came to Boonesboro, this county, where he lived for three years, and then came to this township, where he as since resided, he was married in Indiana in July 1845, to Sarah Freeman, of Cleveland, Ohio, his wife died March 7, 1880, leaving nine children: Belle, Smith M, George, Mary, Lucy F, Jerry F, Minnie M, Albert E and Ida M, his son George was married and his wife and another son, Albert are living at home, he owns 160 acres of land, Mr Chamberlain is an early settler of this county and has endured many privations that generally fall to the lot of early settlers, has held various township offices
