Henry Yeager, farmer and stock-raiser, Sec 29, P O Boone, was born in Pennsylvania, November 7, 1834, he remained in Pennsylvania until he was twelve years of age, when he emigrated to Illinois, where he got a position as clerk in a wholesale grocery house with his uncle and remained there till 1856, when he went to Minnesota, where he started in the grocery business and continued the same till 1862, when he removed to St Louis, where he became extensively engaged in the commission business and remained there till 1866, when his health became poor, and left there for Boone county, Iowa, where he regained his health and is now engaged in farming, his farm consists of 80 acres of well improved land, and is nicely fenced, he was married in Rock Island, Illinois, February 25, 1868, to Miss Catharine Fox, never having the opportunity of attending school he is a self-made man, and his business qualifications may be inferred from the success that has attended his career
