H C Payne, farmer, Sec 2, P O Boone, was born in Clay county, Indiana, September 18, 1844, and raise there, when seventeen years of age he came to this county and has since made it his home, he now owns an improved farm of 145 acres which is the result of his own lavor and industry, he was married December 17, 1862, to Miss Sarah E Moyers, a native of Indiana, they have my this union seven children living: Nancy, Harriet, Laura B, Emma, Charles E, Michael H, and Mary, they have lost two daughters
