N D Miller, farmer, Sec 18, P O Perry, was born in 1842 in New Jersey, and resided there until thirteen years of age and then removed to Fulton county, Illinois, and in 1877 came to this county, he married Sarah E Garren of Fulton county, Illinois, they have a family of six children: McClelland, Charles N, William H, Thomas H, Minnie M and Tena A, in 1862 he enlisted in the One hundred and third Illinois infantry, and served his country for three years, lacking two months, when he was honorably discharged, he participated in all the battles in which his regiment was engaged
