NICHOLAS WEBER

Nicholas Weber, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Weber, was born December 2, 1871, on a farm near Jesup, Iowa, and died at his home in Waterloo, Thursday, June 26th from paralytic strokes and complications.

Funeral services were held at St. Joseph's Catholic church at 9 a.m. Monday June 23, conducted by Rev. Fr. K. M. Ryan. Burial was in Calvary cemetery.

When a young man, he went to Waterloo, and on June 21, 1899, he married Helen Wild who preceded him in death on Aug. 4, 1929. He was later married to Agnes Bromerscheuhel, who survives, together with two brothers, Leonard of Waterloo, and Will of Independence, and two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Bantz of Milwaukee, Wis; and Mrs. Emma Miller of Independence. A sister, Mrs. Anna Miller of Nashua, died May 26, 1941.

Mr. Weber was engaged in the grocery business and at one time owned and operated several theaters in Waterloo.

Mrs. Kate Weber and son Matt attended the funeral.

Funeral services for Nicholas Weber, prominent business man and sportsman, who died at his home in Waterloo last Thursday from paralytic strokes and complications, was held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church at 9 a.m. Monday by Rev. Fr. K. M. Ryan. Burial was in Calvary cemetery.

Nicholas Weber, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Weber, was born December 2, 1871 on a farm near Jesup, Iowa. He went to Waterloo when a young man and on June 21, 1899 married Helen Wild who preceded him in death on August 4, 1929.

He is survived by his second wife, the former Agnes Bromenscheuhel; two brothers, Leonard, Waterloo, and Will Weber of Independence; and two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Bantz of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Mrs. Emma Miller of Independence. A sister, Mrs. Anna Miller, of Nashua, died May 26, 1941.

Matt Weber of Jesup was a nephew of the deceased and with his mother, Mrs. Kate Weber, attended the rites.
