Died After a Short Illness

Raymond Ia., 4-25 - (Special)

Christian Reuter, 76 years of age, died at his home here yesterday afternoon at 3:30 after an illness of only 24 hours duration. He suffered from a hemorrhage. The funeral services will be held from the Catholic church at 9:30 tomorrow morning, Father H. Rottler officiating, and interment will be in the local cemetery.
Born in Prussia, Mr. Reuter came to this country when 21. He settled near Joliet, Ill., and was married there in 1882 to Miss Julia Randolf. To this union 11 children were born, of whom 10 survive, with the widow. The living children are Mrs. Edward Pint and Mrs. William Pint of Independence, John, Albert, Robert and William, living on farms near Raymond, and Emma, Katie, Joseph and Louis at home. The other son, Edward, died in 1905.
18 years ago Mr. Reuter located on a farm a mile and a half southeast of here, but moved to town a month ago.
