JOHN LUTGEN
Gilbertville -Services for John Lutgen, 76 will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Gilbertville. Rosary will be at 7:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Oppold Funeral Home in Waterloo and at 3 p.m., 7:30 p.m. by the parish, and 8 p.m. Wednesday.

He died at 1:40 p.m. Monday at St. Francis Hospital, Waterloo. He was born April 11, 1898, in Luxembourg, the son of Katherine and Nick Draut Lutgen. He married Susan Welter Feb. 4, 1920, in Gilbertville.

Survivors include his wife: three sons, Francis (Butch) and Joseph, both of Gilbertville, and Paul of 1750 Byron Ave., Waterloo: Six daughters, Mrs. Norman Rapalee, of Sonama, Calif., Mrs. Wilfred Frost, Gettysburg, S.D., Mrs. Phillip Delagardelle, Rt. 1, Jesup, and Mrs. Louis Schmit, Mrs. James Phillips, and Mrs. Irvin Weber, all of Gilbertville, two brothers Mike of 5213 Campbell Ave. Waterloo, and Nick of Iowa City.
