DEATH AT GILBERTVILLE

Mrs. Margaret Girsh Passed Away This Morning

Had Lived In County Nearly Forty Years.
Gilbertville, Dec. 3--(Special)- This morning at 3:30 death summoned Mrs. Margaret Girsch, an old resident of Gilbertville, who has lived here for thirty-nine years. She was taken sick about four weeks ago, and death was caused by an abscess of the brain. A son, T. M. Girsch, and a daughter, Mrs. J. Kascht, live in Waterloo and Mrs. J. B. Kascht, wife of Supervisor Kascht of Gilbertville is another daughter.
Deceased was born in Germany, 4-25-1838. She came to this country when quite young settling in New York where she was married July 25, 1854 to Martin Girsch who died June 25, 1894. They moved to Gilbertville in 1876, and deceased was thus among the early settlers of the county, having lived here nearly forty years.
Mrs. Girsch is survived by three daughters and three sons, all of them residents of the county: Mrs. J. Kascht, Waterloo; Mrs. J. B. Kascht, Gilbertville; J. C. Girsch, Washburn; William Girsch, Gilbertville; Mrs. Anna Schares, Waterloo; and T. M. Girsch, Waterloo.
Deceased was a member of the Catholic Church and the funeral services will be held from the Gilbertville church Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock conducted by Rev. Father Nemmers. Burial will be in the Catholic Cemetery at that place.
